Areas of Specialty | The suffering in your life is valid—and it can also change. You can learn to meet both the challenges and the beauty of being human with greater ease. In our work together, we explore how the body and mind are interconnected: how physical sensations shape our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and how a different relationship to suffering, emotion, and experience can open the door to healing. With awareness, intention and self-compassion, this process can lead to a richer, more fulfilling way of being. While mindfulness theory and technique form the foundation of my work, I also draw upon a range of therapeutic modalities—including CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches—to meet each client where they are. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, OCD (using mindfulness-based exposure rather than traditional ERP), and non-suicidal self-harm. Other Information | It brings me joy to help people with the elements of humanness that challenge us all – anxiety and worry; sadness and depression; anger; feeling lost and dissatisfied; feeling hopeless; many more. I meet people where they are with non-judgmental acceptance, warmth, and care, and I help identify values and what’s getting in the way of reaching those values. I help people feel less alone, more connected, better supported. And I help people shift how they relate to themselves, to others, and to the world in meaningful ways. |
