I work both in Central Square at 49 Hancock Street, and in a home office on Reed Street in North Cambridge as well.
Areas of Specialty:
AEDP is the rubric within which lies all of my ways of connecting with people: moment-by-moment, and in a gently deepening way. Our work clears out and transforms the brain's neural pathways from clutter and pain towards accelerated neuroplasticity, to experience clarity, possibility and joy. I have also received Certification by the Institute of Meditation & Psychotherapy in 2011, and have been internationally Certified in Bioenergetic Psychotherapy (CBT, 2004),
I specialize with people as they search for their passions: towards love, during life transitions, in their relationships or career path. Some have careers in the arts (eg., fine artists, actors & performers, musicians, builders, writers), others struggle with food and body image. I work with all genders, ages, races, ethnicities, learning styles (eg., ADD), and sexual orientations--many are single, others in relationships, some are raising children. I provide both individual and couple psychotherapy. I enjoy working with people as they brave the world of dating, gender-variant and others in transition, adult siblings in painful impasses, and stressed-out parents. I am well-versed in oppression of all kinds, and understand how hurtful it feels to be treated poorly due to your race, sexuality, gender, family composition, body type (et al). I have been around many challenges; I understand personally, and through the privilege of working as a therapist, the intricacies and complexities barely below the surface covered by sand--and those hard-core struggles buried in deep, rich soil.
I am off all HMO panels and do not bill insurance politcies. However, if you have an out-of network element to your health insurance you can request reimbursement and I will provide you with super bills and coldes to send to them.
