I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Newton Corner, MA. Often described as calm, warm and down-to-earth, setting people at ease, I've been in practice for over 30 years, having raised two grown kids who went through the Newton Public Schools. My approach is holistic, integrative and relational, drawing on many models. While deeply informed by the spiritual dimension of our experience, my focus is grounded in practical problem solving. I am a certified Internal Family Systems Therapist, having gone through all three formal levels of training in that model and method. I work mostly with individuals and couples, but sometimes kids, adolescents and whole families. I also provide consultation in various forms, including mentoring and case consultation to colleagues.
I've had a spiritual practice since I first joined a Quaker meeting in my teens. I've studied Zen, Vipassana, Taoism, Shamanism and shamanic healing, and Tibetan Buddhism in the Kagyu and Nyingma Mahamudra/Dzogchen traditions. I've been a participant in a meditation and psychotherapy study group for many years.
