Certificate in Meditation and Psychotherapy

60 Continuing Education Hours will be granted to those attending the Certificate in Meditation and Psychotherapy course. This program is suitable for experienced clinicians as well as beginning, intermediate and experienced meditation practitioners.

Learning Objectives for the Full Program:

• At the end of this program, participants will be able to describe mindfulness in its original context of a path of liberation from suffering.

• At the end of the program, participants will be able to describe and apply current research pertinent to the integration of mindfulness, meditation, and psychotherapy.

• At the end of this program, participants will be able to integrate mindfulness into their clinical practice settings, with their clinical populations.

• In addition, each session has its own learning objectives.

Psychologists: The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course meets the criteria for 60 continuing education credits.

Social Workers: The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, Authorization No. 81692. The Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course meets the criteria for 60 continuing education credits.

Nurses: This course meets the specifications of the Board of Registration in Nursing (244 CMR) for 60 Contact Hours.
